Small Cent Coins
When the large cent coin was discontinued, the new small cent coin was not well received by the public. Not only did people not like the idea of a smaller coin, they also did not like the coin itself which was initially the Flying Eagle cent.
In the 150+ years since, there have been three main versions of a small cent coin: The Flying Eagle, The Indian Head, and The Lincoln Head penny. The Lincoln Head has had one major change to the reverse side image since it was first introduced.
